Monkfish is among the most abundantly landed species off the coast of Cape Cod. Known for its tight, meaty white flesh it is often compared to lobster meat. It's not only similar to lobster in texture, but also in flavor. It has a mild, sweet flavor without a trace of fishiness.
Our monkfish medallions are flash-frozen to maintain the highest quality. Plus we cut serving portions from meatiest part of the tail, size similar to a sea scallop, in order to make for an easier and more enjoyable cooking experience.

As Chatham Harvesters Coop we are prioritizing our seafood availabilty and access to our members. We also make many of our products available to the public at our farmers markets on a first come first serve basis.
