Scup (also known as porgy) are abundant in the waters off Cape Cod and are sustainably harvested by our member-fishermen throughout the warmer months. Our catch moves quickly from boat to our co-op seafood facility, ensuring peak freshness from our fleet to your kitchen.
Scup have a mild, slightly sweet flavor with a firm, flaky texture that holds up beautifully in a variety of preparations. Well-suited for grilling whole, roasting, or pan-searing, their skin crisps nicely while the meat remains moist and tender.
A versatile and approachable fish, scup is a healthy, nutrient-dense choice—rich in protein and a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, along with essential nutrients like vitamin B12 and selenium.
