Smoked Mackerel

Mackerels are considered some of the most nutritious fishes and are seasonally caught off the coast of Cape Cod typically from the late Spring to early Autumn. Mackerel has a rich flavor with a soft, flaky, and moist meat. Our lightly smoked, sweet mackerel recipe helps turn the rich oils into a luscious and healthy treat that is great for sharing with friends or placing at the center of the dinner plate. 

 

Ingredients include mackerel, water, white vinegar, sea salt,

molasses, smoked hickory salt, garlic powder, and pepper.

Chatham Clam Pie

Ready to bake, this old-school recipe is simple: local quahogs, potatoes, and onions. Savory and delicious, clam pies are a staple part of Cape Cod cuisine. Brush your pie with egg wash or butter and bake in a 350° oven for 40-50 min.

 

Ingredients include quahogs, butter, potatoes, onion, black pepper, thyme, and pie crust. 

Monkfish Medallions

Monkfish is among the most abundantly landed species off the coast of Cape Cod. Known for its tight, meaty white flesh it is often compared to lobster meat. It's not only similar to lobster in texture, but also in flavor. It has a mild, sweet flavor without a trace of fishiness. Our monkfish medallions are fresh-frozen to maintain the highest quality.

Skate Cheeks

Skate fish are super abundant off the coast of Cape Cod. Skate cheeks are often discarded at sea however, these tasty white nuggets have a mildly pronounced flavor, firm flesh and are often compared to the taste of scallops. Making use of the whole fish is core to our Cooperative's values and is tied to our conservation commitment. Our skate cheeks are fresh-frozen to maintain the highest quality.

Monkfish Chowder Base

30 oz quart container | Fresh-Frozen

Our monkfish chowder stems from an old Nickerson family recipe and centers around our highest quality, poached monkfish tails. The chowder is both cream-free and gluten-free. You can add your own dairy or non-dairy creamer for a richer chowder experience. Or just enjoy as is. 

​

Ingredients include: monkfish, potatoes, onions, fish stock, unsalted butter, drief parsley, and clam juice.

Our fishermen members catch a variety of groundfish including haddock, flounders, pollock, and more. We also catch bluefin tuna, halibut, bass, and blue fish. We catch, process, vac-seal, and freeze our own catch, which means a smaller carbon footprint as well as assurance that you are receiving the highest quality. Our availability depends on the season and what the ocean is providing.

Smoked Yellowfin Tuna

Yellowfin tuna are rich in niacin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, phosphorus and selenium. Abundant off of the Cape Cod coast, yellowfin are caught by rod-and-reel which means minimizing bycatch and overall ecosystem impact. We land, smoke, pack, and freeze ourselves, all within 24-hours to give you the freshest, highest quality possible. The flavor has a mild smokiness with balanced sweet-n-savory that make for a great appetizer, tuna salad, pâté, or main meal.

 

Ingredients include yellowfin tuna, water, soy, ginger, lime, and brown sugar.
